To rebuild and restore the Tripura Sundari and to cultivate the concept of cultural conservation through the amalgamation of tangible and intangible musical heritage.

Objectives

  • To bring the Tripura Sundari Studies to academics
  • To restore the beauty, aesthetic, rituals and activities at Tripura Sundari.
  • To maintain the aesthetics and renew traditional customs at Tripura Sundari for future generations.
  • To contribute in the preservation and continuation of tangible and musical heritage of Nepal and to use this as a model for future conservation projects.
  • To create hub for local music, world music and music education in a historically important heritage site.
  • To produce globally competent ethnomusicologists, musicians, performers and music educationists.
  • To create job opportunities for local and contemporary musicians, instrument makers, music scholars and music technicians in Kathmandu University’s academic setup.
  • To eventually maintain, utilize, manage and safeguard Nepalese heritage, both tangible and intangible through the restoration of Tripura Sundari.
