Non - academic short term course is offered four times a year (March / June / September / December).

Required Documents (International Students)

• Complete Application form (Download or Register Online).
• 4 copies of valid passport
• 4 copies of valid visa to remain in Nepal. (The visa should have a validity till the deadline of Admission form submission of the respective month.)
• No objection letter from the respective Embassy / Consultant of the applicant
• Enough proof of funds to support yourself in Nepal. Bank balance statements from the banks of Nepal, with minimum balance of USD 1500 for six months is required.
•  In case of dependent (1), a minimum bank balance statement of USD 2500 for six months is required.
• 5 passport size photos.
• 1 passport size photo for dependent visa. (If required)
• 4 copies of translated (English) of Marriage certificate and birth certificate for the dependents.

Kathmandu University initiates applications for a student visa.  The  Government of Nepal requires approximately five to six weeks to process visa applications.  The Education Ministry made it mandatory that foreigners taking music classes must follow the guidelines given by the ministry. These include a rule saying that foreign students are strictly not allowed to continue with their studies when their class attendance amounts to less than 80%.
