Kathmandu University Department of Music announces opening of admissions for four-year Bachelor Program in Ethnomusicology (BMus) for the coming academic year 2023.

The programme emphasizes on training competent musicians and ethnomusicologists to document, preserve, and work creatively with the endangered musical traditions of Nepal. The entire course is highly participatory and students are expected to take an active role in the preparation and leading of class discussions.

Eligibility:

Completion of a 10+2 or equivalent, degree in any discipline from a recognized institution with a least 40 % marks / or CGPA:2.0

Duration: Four years

Form Distribution (online or hard copy): December 25, 2022 to January 20, 2023

Recital and interview: February 1, 2023

Admissions of selected students: February 02 – February 10, 2023

Orientation: February 12, 2023

The new semester will begin from 15th of February, 2023
